According to the legends of Hinduism, Saraswati Devi,who is the daughter of Shiva and Durga.Was the one responsible for endowing humans with powers of wisdom speech & learning.Devi is depicted on many Saraswati wallpapers as a four handed goddess that represents the four aspects of human personality namely ego, intellect,mind & alertness.Saraswati Devi also holds sacred scriptures in one of Her hands and a lotus on the other hand which said to be the symbol of real knowledge.Saraswati Devi is depicted as clothed in white, seated on a white lotus playing the instrument veena.The four vedas are considered to be her offsprings.Her mount,the swanis said to personify of pure knowledge.Any institution of learning in this country is regarded as Saraswati's temple. Musical instruments are regarded as symbols of Saraswati too.Saraswati Devi is said to be the bestower of knowledge that dispels ignorance and unhappiness.People often place the statues of Goddess Saraswati Devi in their homes and commercial premises as it is believed to radiate the healing energy in all the directions to create more energetic,blissful & positive life.In fact,interior is complete without a statue or sculpture of some God & Goddess.
